New "kornitop on the Web" link for the standard install.
Support for all the following languages is always installed: Afrikaans, English, Turkish, Spanish, French and German.
User settings and data files, pgkt.ini and pgkt.kta, are never uninstalled nor overwritten upon a new install into the same directory. This is for the user's benefit. You may delete them manualy if you wish.
NOTE!!! Try not to 'randomly' install/reinstall all over your disk(s)! Doing this will leave your data everywhere. Power requires reflection and responsibility.

4. - New Feature - Directory/Folder Disk Byte Size scanner tab.
High-speed and fully multi-threaded recursive directory scanner that calculates the total byte sizes of the selected root folder plus individual child folders up to a depth of 5 folder levels.
Double-click on the empty top text box of the "Folder Size" tab or drag-and-drop any folder/directory from the Windows Explorer onto Kornitop. The scan will start and its progress can be viewed on the "Folder Size" tab.
You can carry on using Kornitop whilst scanning your directories to find out in which folders your diskspace is being used. It is as fast as possible and will not stop other Kornitop functions.
Built-in (Microsoft Excel compatible) CSV (plain text) report file writer. After the Folder Size operation is completed simply export your results by clicking on the 'Save As' button.
I first wrote the programming code for this feature using the cross-platform Free Pascal compiler (http://www.freepascal.org/) in order to help an IT Infrastructure and Networking division in one of the biggest financial institutions in the world to figure out "where did the disk space on our servers go".
I was not a member of this division and am no longer with this company. I also received no credit despite frequently having to use my program to resolve "mysteries" or SEP's (Somebody Else's Problem). Makes me nervous when I use my ATM or look at tall shiny corporate buildings.

Runtime dynamic multilingual interface: once the application is installed you can switch between languages from the "About" tab.

Kornitop is built with Borland Development Studio 2006 Professional in Delphi 2006.
It is thus developed and compiled with a native optimizing compiler using a natively compiled and optimized object-oriented framework. In my experience with all 3 of the following programming languages, environments, IDE's, OOP frameworks and tools; Delphi is simply larger than the sum of C++ and Visual Basic.
I also use GExperts as part of my development environment. GExperts is a set of tools built to increase the productivity of Delphi and C++Builder programmers by adding several features to the IDE. GExperts is developed as Open Source software. Please see - http://www.gexperts.org/
Kornitop uses the open source (LGPL) DelphiZip streaming and compression library for the Clipboard and Notes data archive. Please see - http://www.delphizip.org/
In this current free version of Kornitop, the archive is mildly encrypted to slightly protect you from silly people and organizations. Please do not trust anyone with your data since the free version of Kornitop can be downloaded and used to view your stuff if you are careless and leave your data lying around.
A "hardcore", much more secure version of Kornitop is in the making that will allow it's user to control data encryption using the best ciphers. That version of Kornitop is not likely to be free but is not intended to make a hole in anyone's wallet either.
